ABIDE IN HIM II

“Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.”- Haggai 1:4‭, ‬6 NKJV

We should have this mind of David "I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the mighty God of Jacob.” (Psalms 132:4‭-‬5 MEV) Have you found a place, not just a place, but a dwelling place for Jesus in your heart yet? Easiest way to do this is through holy communion. The Lord said "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.(John 6:56 NKJV)

Beloved, we are the temple of God, this temple has no significance if God does not live in it. That is why we go through what prophet Haggai said in our opening verse. Even Solomon, after building a magnificent temple , still had to dedicate it so as to bring in God's presence.

The Bible says "When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.

(II Chronicles 7:1‭-‬2 NKJV)

If the dedication of a temple built with human hands can bring such glory, how about our own body? Haggai 2:9 NKJV says ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ The Bible explains what happens when we dedicate our body to God."Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion. The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back" (Psalms 114:2‭-‬3 NKJV) That means sin and distress will flee!
