Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifices and offerings You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.
Hebrews 10:5 MEV
Christ through the Holy Spirit offered to God the body God prepared for him as a sacrifice for our sins. What are we doing with the body God prepared for us? Are we keeping it for ourselves? Romans 12:3 says "I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship."
How do we offer our body to God? The way to do this is to offer ourselves to God as those who have crossed from death to life.
That is we are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ. Remember we are bought with a price, so we are not our own. "You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
(1 Corinthians 6:20 MEV)
That is why the Bible says "Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your bodies to God as instruments of righteousness. (Romans 6:13 MEV)
Why do we have to offer our body to God?
The Bible says "For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live in them and walk in them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
(2 Corinthians 6:16 MEV) So let us not rob God what belongs to him. Always remember this "Sacrifices and offerings You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me"
MAY THE PEACE OF THE LORD BE WITH US ALWAYS
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO GLORIFY GOD WITH THE BODY HE PREPARED FOR US IN CHRIST, IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
