AN AGE-LONG LOVE II

“But you trusted in your own beauty, played the harlot because of your fame, and poured out your harlotry on everyone passing by who would have it. “Nevertheless I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.

In Ezekiel 16, God explained how the Isrealites broke His covenant with them through idolatry and many other sins. However, instead of punishing them, He promised an everlasting covenant with them. This is an age long love of God.“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you."

(Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV)

Moses told the Israelites "The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers..(Deuteronomy 7:7‭-‬8 NKJV)

Beloved, the only thing that can separate us from the love of God is our unbelief in this faithful love of God.

If God, because of His love for us, died for us while we were still sinning, how much more now we are cleansed by his blood? ( See Romans 5) Remain in His love
