ARE YOU REMINDING THE LORD OF HIS DEATH?

Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.”
Isaiah 43:26 NKJV
Beloved, have you ever wondered why the Lord instructed us to partake of the Holy Communion, saying, “Do this in remembrance of me”? (1 Corinthians 11:24–25) The next verse gives us further insight: “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” (1 Corinthians 11:26 NIV).
Notice that the Lord wants us to continually proclaim His death. Why? For by doing so, the reality and benefits of our salvation will remain alive in our hearts and be manifested in all aspects of our lives, health and wellbeing, marital etc. “ For with the heart one believes and is justified, with the mouth confession is made unto salvation “ (Romans 10:10)
Interestingly, we see a similar language of remembrance and continual proclamation in Isaiah 62:1: “... for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet,.. till her salvation shine like a blazing torch.” Then He appointed watchmen who would continually remind Him of His work of salvation until He makes Jerusalem the praise of the earth (Isaiah 62:6–7 NIV).
In our Catholic Church, we remind the Lord of His death day and night through the Holy mass until He comes again. And we celebrate the Holy Mass in Eucharistia, that is with heartfelt thanksgiving, for we are confident that He is resting from His finished work and we are resting with Him.
Beloved, let the salvation Christ purchased for you shine like a blazing torch! Do not allow the circumstances of this world to silence the testimony of His finished work.
Glory to God!
WE BLESS YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR THE WORK OF YOUR LOVE, PRAISEWORTHY AND EXALTED IS YOUR NAME FOREVER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
