ARE YOU THE LIVING OR THE DEAD

He is not the God of the dead, but of the living…Mark 12:27 NIV

In Christ, we have crossed over from death to life. “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

John 5:24 NIV

So, we belong to the living and not the dead. However, are we living as those that have crossed from death to life or are we living as the dead?"And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; if he does, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the bottles destroyed;

(Mark 2:22)

The only way to live as the living is to abide in Him. "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.(John 15:6)

How do we abide? Acknowledge Him in all things, make Him your silver and Gold. My sweetest verse is “You shall have no other gods before Me.(Exodus 20:3 NKJV) Imagine what it means that God knows He is your only God. In our Gloria, in our catholic community we say '' For You alone are the Lord"

Think about how pleasant our lives will be, just because we acknowledge Him in all things as our only Lord and Savior. That means if He doesn't save, no one else does. He will never allow our soul, finances, marriages, health and wellbeing etc to see decay for He is the God of the living and not the dead.
