BE ALERT

Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon.

Nehemiah 4:17 NKJV

We are in a world where our table is prepared in the presence of our enemy, the devil. This is why we face challenges everyday and in all things. So we have to be alert at all times. This is not the time to sleep too much, instead sleep with one eye open.

Just as in Judges 7:6, we don't go down on our knees to drink, we drink from cupped hands, lapping like dogs.

Just as the workers did in our opening verse, we work with one hand and the other hand ready for battle at all times. Psalm 144:1 says "Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle" If God trained us for war, do you think we can ever fail?

The world we are in is getting darker everyday, however, we don't live in fear or anxiety for we have the scepter of authority, we are in command. So, we have to be alert and in authority, knowing that the scepter of authority is extended to us. Jacob spoke about it "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; (Genesis 49:10 NKJV)

Balaam also spoke about it "“I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel, (Numbers 24:17 NKJV)

Beloved, let us stand strong in the strength of His authority and be alert at all times.
