BE CHRIST CONFIDENT AND NOT IN SELF II

Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

John 9:41 NIV

Man's sin from Eden was as a result of self confidence, God made man in His image and likeness ,but man believed He can be like God by his own abilities hence disobeying God. The Lord led the Israelites through the wilderness, where only Him can take care of them, yet many never made it to the promised land because of confidence in self and not in God.

How about us, though we have the Spirit of our creator, yet we are housed in a breakable vessel , why? So our power of excellence, our confidence both to will and to do, is of God and not of us. But many are still relying on self in both to will and to do, instead of God.

Think of the baby lying in a manger, gentle, meek and mild, yet is the Savior of the world. Even though He is God, the Bible says He will neither break a bruised reed nor quench a smoking flax, but will bring forth justice for truth." How? through confidence in the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 42:1-3 )

Grace is the solution to self confidence, the less we rely on self, the more grace flows in our life. The more undeserving, broken and weak we realize we are, the more we depend on God's grace. For as the Lord said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. (Matthew 9:12 NKJV)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE CONFIDENT IN WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR US IN CHRIST JESUS AND NOT SELF CONFIDENT IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
