BE CHRIST READY V

Take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts become burdened by excessiveness and drunkenness and anxieties of life, and that Day comes on you unexpectedly." (Luke 21:34 MEV)

In John 9:4 BSB, the Lord said "While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work. Night can be seen as a period of tribulations, darkness and violence. We are gradually entering that phase in life. It is important that we stay away from the dark and walk in the light.

Psalms 74:20 BSB says "Consider Your covenant, for haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land. We can easily be pulled into the dark these days, how? If our hearts become burdened by excessiveness and drunkenness and anxieties of life,"

However, we are not like that, the Bible says "For you are all sons of the light and sons of the day; we do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not sleep as the others do, but let us remain awake and sober. (1 Thessalonians 5:5‭-‬6 BSB)

The Lord has made us children of light and day and not of night and darkness. He said , “For a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.(John 12:35 BSB)

So let us walk in the light, "Night is coming, when no one can work. How do we walk in the light? The Lord said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”(John 8:12 BSB) We abide in him through prayers, obedience to his teachings and holy communion.
