BE CONTENT III

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” - Hebrews 13:5 NKJV

I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV says "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

Did you notice that our Lord Jesus ,no matter how He was beaten, mocked and abandoned, He held tightly to the cross until He was hanged on it. What are you content with today? Does the message of the cross mean anything to you? Do you still have the cross of Jesus Christ in you?

Some of us want to be content only when we get this new job or contract, some seek contentment in marriages, children, physical looks etc. Hear this, the enemy doesn't care about your finances, he doesn't care about your marriage, health or material possession, all he wants is for you to give up the cross of Jesus Christ!

Beloved, all we have in this age and in ages to come is the cross of Jesus Christ, everything else in this world will perish but the cross will last forever. The Lord is telling us today despite our tribulations "be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you"

You and I are alive today and will live forever because of the cross of Jesus Christ, the enemy will go as far as destroying your finances, marriages, causing barrennes and sickness just for you to give up your cross. Deny yourself of all those earthly contentment and hold tightly to the cross. Revelation 2:10 says "Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE CONTENT WITH WHAT WE HAVE TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
