Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, Daughter Zion, now a captive.

Isaiah 52:2 NIV

The Lord spoke to me sometime in the past: “Be strong, children of God. Do not allow your circumstances to rule over you.” Ephesians 2 tells us that in the past, we used to be ruled by the dictates of our senses and minds. But

In Christ, we have been raised and seated with Him. Our spirits have been made alive to God. Therefore, we should not allow our senses, emotions, circumstances, or human reasoning to become the authority over our lives.

Many people have allowed their circumstances to become enthroned over them. Their situations dictate their pace, determine their joy, and control their decisions. As a result, they become enslaved to their senses. This is why St. Paul tells us in Romans 12:2 to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We must not allow the patterns and customs of this world to shape the way we think. Instead, our minds must come under the influence of God's Word.

That is why our theme verse says, “Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned.” Shake off the dust of disappointment, fear. and the dust of yesterday's failures. Shake off everything that has tried to convince you that your circumstances are your master. Rise up in Christ. Take your rightful position.

We are not called to be ruled by our senses; we are called to bring our senses under the rule of the Spirit. We do not deny what is happening around us, but we refuse to allow it to define who we are or dictate where we are going. How do we do this?We saturate our spirits with God's Word.(1 Peter 2:2 NIV)

THANK YOU JESUS!
