BE OPEN MIND

“Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?- Job 38:2 NIV

I love how our heavenly Father speaks. In John 7:46 , the guards who couldn't arrest Jesus said “No one ever spoke the way this man does,” We know in Psalm 51:4 that always, "God is justified in his verdict and blameless in his judgment". We have to keep an open mind and welcome God's wisdom and ways, no matter how unpleasant it may be.

In Hosea 1:2 "When the Lord first began speaking to Israel through Hosea, he said to him, “Go and marry a prostitute, so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This illustrated how Israelites have acted like a prostitute by turning against the Lord and worshiping other gods.”

Supposed we were Hosea, this could not have been pleasant to us, also considering the fact that Hosea is a prophet of God, imagine all the scorn he might have received from people. But it is God's idea, so through this, He can show Israelites their sins. Sometimes we can obscure God's plan in our lives because of selfishness.

Self is the true enemy of man and God. It denies man the ability to love God. So to love God beyond human senses, we have to deny self. This way we can keep our hearts open to accept the things of God as a child. Remember, we are bought with a price, we are his, we are not our own.
