OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN
BE OPEN MINDED II
But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Jesus, the Christ, after ye have suffered a little while, he himself perfects, confirms, strengthens, and establishes you. (1 Peter 5:10 JUB)
We voluntarily fast sometimes, especially when we want to get something from God. Have about if God puts us to fast involuntarily so as to get something for us or to prevent something from happening to us? Will we accept it? Many will not accept it, rather will fast against such fasting. This shows how little or no control we give God over our life, though we call him " OUR LORD"
Our text tells us God already called us to a lifetime glory, we are not seeking for that but He has glorified us. However, we have to fast a little, "after ye have suffered a little while, he himself perfects, confirms, strengthens, and establishes you." Those troubles of our lives, might be a fast from God, which will eventually turn out for our own good.
2 Corinthians 4:17 says "For our tribulation, which is momentary and light, prepares an exceeding and eternal weight of glory unto us;" So let us accept the Lordship of Jesus with open minds, never lean on our understanding, knowing that He cares. Know that He is the first and last, and knows the end from the beginning. Remember He has said " I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5 )
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ACCEPT THINGS OF GOD WITH OPEN MINDS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
