BE ROOTED IN THE WORD

Meanwhile the word of God continued to spread and grow.

Acts 12:24 GNT

Despite intense persecution, the message did not falter—it flourished. What sustains such growth in the face of opposition? Diligence. The apostles remained steadfast, giving their full attention to the Word and prioritizing it above all else. Their consistency created fertile ground for increase. The Lord illustrated this in the parable of the sower:

“ Some people are like the seeds that fall along the path; as soon as they hear the message, Satan comes and takes it away. Other people are like the seeds that fall on rocky ground. As soon as they hear the message, they receive it gladly. But it does not sink deep into them, and they don't last long. So when trouble or persecution comes because of the message, they give up at once. Other people are like the seeds sown among the thorn bushes. These are the ones who hear the message, but the worries about this life, the love for riches, and all other kinds of desires crowd in and choke the message, and they don't bear fruit. But other people are like seeds sown in good soil. They hear the message, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirty, some sixty, and some one hundred.” (Mark 4:15-20 GNT)

The Word spread and grew, oppositions didn’t stop it. Persecution couldn’t silence it. The Word grew because the disciples prioritized, lived, and shared it with diligence. The Bible says about the church, “ And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

(Acts 2:42 ESV) It is not merely hearing the Word that produces fruit, but receiving it with focus, nurturing it with care, and holding fast to it with perseverance. Where the Word is valued and diligently tended, growth is inevitable—even in the midst of resistance.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE ROOTED IN THE WORD OF GOD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
