BE STRONG IN THE LORD, NOT IN YOURSELF

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Ephesians 6:10 NKJV
In John 13, the Lord Jesus told His disciples that He would soon depart from them and that they could not follow Him where He was going. Peter immediately responded with confidence in his own commitment: “Lord, why can't I go with you now? I would die for you!” (John 13:37 CEV).
However, Jesus redirected the conversation from Peter's self-confidence to faith in God and in Himself, “Don't be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me.” (John 14:1 CEV). Beloved, this is an important lesson for our walk with God. Our lives in Christ are not sustained by our flawless performance, They are sustained by knowing God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Himself defined eternal life this way:
“Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent.” (John 17:3 CEV).
God does not call us to depend on our struggles and efforts to become righteous. Rather, He calls us to live from the finished work of Christ and the divine provisions He has already made available to us.
Notice what 2 Peter 1:3 NKJV declares:
“as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”
In other words, God has already supplied what we need for life and godliness through His divine power. Our responsibility is to grow in the knowledge of Him and live from what He has freely provided.
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD SO AS TO DRAW STRENGTH FROM HIM IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
