BECAUSE HE HAD SAID

Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her - Luke 1:38 NKJV

This is a very bold declaration; "Let it be to me according to your word.” Even though the entire picture was not revealed to her, yet she believed and declared, why? Because God has said. The Bible says; "And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, (II Corinthians 4:13 NKJV)

Consider the sin of first Adam; God had said, do not eat of the tree. When Adam was pushed by Satan, he could have stood strong for God, because God had said, though he didn't understand why. Today, though we might not understand the reason behind what God said in His words, we believe anyways simply because He had Said.

Regarding Abraham, the Bible says "Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised." (Romans 4:19‭-‬21 NIV)

Think about this, God's own understanding and ours which one is greater? Abraham did not trust His understanding of His nature, rather He believed God's own understanding, because He had Said. Today, believe and stand strong only because God has said.

" You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAND STRONG ON GOD'S WORDS NOT BECAUSE WE UNDERSTAND ALL, RATHER FOR HE HAD SAID, IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
