CELEBRATE YOUR PARENTS

Let your father and mother be proud of you; give your mother that happiness.

Proverbs 23:25 GNT

God wants us to celebrate our parents, especially the ones that gave birth to us with birth pangs, our mothers. Our theme verse says ” give your mother that happiness.” To show you how it delights God that we do so, He placed a special blessing for that; “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12 NLT)

God did not say He will bless us if we honor our parents, rather He is telling us that there is a blessing of long and full life in honoring our parents. He wants us to reap this blessing of long and full life. It is like telling someone to eat oranges, for they are rich in vitamin C. Know that God placed this blessing of life out of love, so let's celebrate our parents out of love and not just for the blessing.
