CULTIVATE A DEEPER CONNECTION WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

… it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you - John 16:7 NLT

Holy Spirit is the best thing that happened to us in this dark world. The Lord Said "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,...! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.(Matthew 23:37 NLT) Today we are gathered together as one by the Holy Spirit, "we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit." (1 Corinthians 12:13 NLT)

We are now branches of one true Vine, drinking the same spiritual water, the Holy Spirit. To cultivate a deeper connection with Him is to abide in the Vine so we can be fed by the Spirit. In our catholic Credo, we call Him the "Giver of life ". Not only does He give us Holy desires, he also gives us the strength , the dunamis to abound in good works, a supernatural life.

Imagine Paul and Silas, though locked up, we're singing praises! Glory! [Acts 16]

The same Paul, though in prison, never allowed himself to be defined by that, instead blessed God saying "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
