The woman whose son was alive was deeply moved out of love for her son and said to the king, “Please, my Lord, give her the living baby! Don’t kill him!” But the other said, “Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two!” - 1 Kings 3:26 NIV
Calmly think about this, "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you".,,,,, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’ (John 15:19, 24-25 NIV)
Why is the Lord talking about hatred for him, the Father and us? What does that tell us about the other woman in our opening verse "Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two" Is this not typical of the enemy, who hated God right from the beginning. David said about it "Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause… (Psalms 69:4 NIV)
Beloved, right from the beginning, the enemy wanted to CUT OFF God from the world. "I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” (Isaiah 14:14 NIV) Do we want to give room for God on earth and be hated by the world or do we choose to be liked by the world and cut off God from the earth? "Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two!”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO SURRENDER OUR LIVES TO JESUS IN ALL THINGS TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
