DO NOT BE DEFINED BY YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image. They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.

Psalms 106:19‭-‬20 BSB

Do not be defined by your natural circumstances for they don't give us life, instead we give life to them. We don't take life from them, we give them life.The scripture says, “The first man, Adam, was created a living being”; but the last Adam is the life-giving Spirit." (1 Corinthians 15:45 GNT) Even Adam, though a living soul, named the animals, they didn't name Him. Just by allowing our circumstances to define us and dictate who we are, we are doing what our text says " They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox."

The Lord once told me this: " Children of God do not allow Your earthly circumstances to rule over you ". We are born of God. "They did not become God's children by natural means, that is, by being born as the children of a human father; God himself was their Father." (John 1:13 GNT)

Let us then stand strong in challenging times for they don't define us, they are natural but we are supernatural. Everything has it's nature. The Bible says, "And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; the beauty that belongs to heavenly bodies is different from the beauty that belongs to earthly bodies."
