Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 ESV
God does not resist the enemy for us, rather He has given us the authority to resist him. Though we live in this world, we are not of the world, we live in the kingdom of light of God's own Son, a holy kingdom. The enemy cannot operate there. Obadiah 1:17 says, “ In mount Zion, there shall be holiness.” Devil is not holy, so he can't come there.
The enemy’s strategy is to draw us down into his realm through our mindset, because he cannot rise to where we are in Christ. But our responsibility is to submit to God by aligning our thoughts with His promises. When we do this, we remain in fellowship with the Father and walk in His realm. In that place, the enemy has no authority. As we resist him, he must flee, not because of our strength, but because he cannot stand in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
How long it takes for him to flee may vary, but our confidence is not in timing, but in God’s Word. The Father has spoken, and His truth stands: when we resist the enemy, he will flee
In Luke 4, when the enemy tempted Jesus, he fled—not simply because Jesus is the Son of God, but because Jesus spoke God’s Word to him. In the same way, being in God’s kingdom does not automatically cause the enemy to flee from us. Rather, he flees when we submit to God, when we align our thoughts with His promises and boldly speak them out.
Romans 10:10 ESV says, “ For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO RESIST THE ENEMY IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
