The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! - John 1:29 NKJV

Who do you behold in times of distress, the distress or Jesus? Our verse is telling us to behold Jesus, the spotless and unblemished Lamb of God that takes away sin and it's distress from us. Why? "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV)

So, while on the cross, God took all our sins and its blemishes, faults, flaws in our lives and placed them on Him, while we received His sinless, unblemished and spotless life. Isaiah 53:5 NIV says "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."

So our life was swapped with His life, no wonder St. Paul said "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for meGalatians 2:20 KJV

We live by faith that He has taken away our burdens that we might live His sinless, unblemished and spotless life!

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BEHOLD JESUS ESPECIALLY IN TIMES OF DISTRESS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
