DO YOU KNOW YOUR HELPER?

 I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever.  He is the Spirit, who reveals the truth about God. The world cannot receive him, because it cannot see him or know him. But you know him, because he remains with you and is in you.

John 14:16-17 GNT

Psalm 121:1–2 (GNT) says, “I look to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Romans 8 echoes this truth with bold assurance: if this very God—the Creator of heaven and earth—is our helper, our source and strength, then no force can stand against us. No sickness, no trial, no adversity has the power to overcome us. 

Then, passing through moments in this dark world does not mean our Helper has abandoned us. Rather, in every season we remain victorious, because our Helper is the One who created heaven and earth and as the Lord said, He will never leave us. Psalm 46 reaffirms that, though the earth trembles and the mountains tumble into the deepest sea, we will not be afraid because the Lord is our ever present help. 

This is why James 1:2 encourages us to count it all joy when we encounter trials of various kinds—for even in those moments, His presence secures our victory. No wonder why Psalm 124:7-8 says that we have escaped like a bird from a hunter's trap; the trap is broken, and we are free! Why? For our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
