Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you - Colossians 3:13 NIV

Have you thought about why the Lord taught us to pray this way: " forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us ". This means that we are asking God to forgive us as we forgive others. But have we considered how we forgive? We mostly forgive conditionally by having others promise they won't do it again, and we even keep watchful eyes over them to see if they will keep their promise. If God forgave us that way, how do you think our life will be now?

God's own forgiveness is unconditional. He did not forgive us because we promised we won't sin again, rather He forgave us and promised He will not remember our sins anymore. What an awesome and Holy God we have! He wants us to forgive that way. Do you think we can do that? Yes if we love as God does. How?

I Peter 4:8 NKJV nails it; "And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

Such love that does not remember other's sins is only found in Christ, we are born with it because we are the branches of Christ. Our joyful duty is to live in constant awareness of our union with Him and it will flow through us to others at point of need.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE IN CONSCIOUSNESS OF OUR UNION WITH JESUS AND WALK IN LOVE THAT COVERS ALL SINS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
