GET UNDERSTANDING

“ ‘Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’” - Acts 13:41 NIV

Proverbs 4:7 NKJV says "Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Beloved, it is really difficult to fellowship with God without understanding.That is why many as our theme says "wonder and perish". We are in the kingdom of God, a kingdom bestowed with all riches and glory, yet many perish, why? Because they lack understanding. Psalms 49:20 BSB says "A man who has riches without understanding is like the beasts that perish.

Why do many lack understanding? It is Because the Bible says this “You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.” For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’(Acts 28:26‭-‬27 NIV)

No wonder St. Paul prayed "the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,(Ephesians 1:18 NKJV)

How can we partake in the riches of His glory? Through His words,"The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.(Psalms 119:130 NKJV)
