For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.

Psalms 44:3 NKJV

Israelites crossing the Red sea was likened to our baptism. Just as in the wilderness, the Israelites cannot help themselves hence are alive to only God's care. Same way, through baptism, we were crucified with Jesus, and cannot do anything on our own, hence alive only to God's Care.

Just as in the wilderness, God through His favor covered them with pillars of cloud and fire and fed them manna. God preserved them so they never lacked because they cannot take care of themselves in the wilderness. The Bible says "Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. (Deuteronomy 8:4 NKJV)

The same way, by His grace, we are preserved from sin and distress for we are dead to them and alive to God. Remember, we are created in righteousness and holiness, but still bear the wounds from the sin of Adam and sent to a sinful world, the only way we are preserved from corruption from sin and distress is through grace.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAND STRONG IN HIS GRACE IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
