HAVE NO DISTORTED VISION OF GOD

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.

Psalms 46:1‭-‬2 NLT

Many have this view that God does not help or He takes too long to help, but the truth is that He is always ready to help and has done so 2000 years ago even while we were sinning. The Lord said, “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" (Matthew 6:22‭-‬23 NIV)

After the fall, man's vision of God and reality were distorted, and can only see things in the natural, in the flesh. For instance, Adam did not see nakedness as a problem until after the fall. Israel won victory over Pharaoh without a single muscle. Psalms 44:3 NIV says, "It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them." Yet they saw themselves as grasshoppers before the giants of Anaks ( Numbers 13)

Beloved, is our spiritual sight distorted? In times of crisis, are we focusing on ourselves or on Jesus, who is always ready to help in times of trouble. Psalms 27:3 NLT says "Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident."
