HAVE YOU DISCOVERED THE LOVE OF GOD BEYOND HUMAN SENSES ? IV

Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. - Jeremiah 31:3 NLT

" With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself." The word " drawn" is the Hebrew word "Mashak" meaning to draw, seize, to lift out", drag along. Jesus used the same word when He said "For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up.

(John 6:44 NLT) In another He said "And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.”(John 12:32 NLT)

This time "draw" was translated from it's Greek equivalent "helko" meaning "to draw, seize, to lift out", drag along, to draw by inward power, impel. So God drew us to himself with an inward power, His unfailing love, lovingkindness, though we were sinners, not counting our sins against us (2 Cor 5:19) Do you think anything can separate us from His faithful love?

No wonder Moses said to the Israelites:

“The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors. That is why the Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.(Deuteronomy 7:7‭-‬8 NLT)

Our Duty is to abide in His Love, that is Love one another this same way He loves us
