HE LEADS US BY HIS MERCY

To Him who led His people through the wilderness, For His mercy endures forever; - Psalms 136:16 NKJV

This is the sweetest thing ever, though we are in the wilderness, He is leading us in His mercy. Think calmly what that means! Think of how you take care of your day-old baby, how sweet and tender they are to you, that is how the Lord sees us through the eyes of His mercy; sweet and tender.

Isaiah 49:15 says “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you." None of us is more than a day old in God's sight. "But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

(II Peter 3:8)

Every child of God should be walking with uplifted faces, chest out, with ever smiling faces, for God is displaying His mercy through us, and it endures forever . Psalms 52:8 says " I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever."

Let us not define His mercy by our earthly circumstances, instead understand He is displaying His mercy to us amidst our earthly circumstances, the wilderness. Remember how the Israelites doubted His mercy and He reminded them about their earthly circumstances, that they are still in the wilderness of fiery serpents ( see Numbers 21)
