HIS LOVE IS CONSTANT

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 ESV

In the parable of the prodigal son, we can see that though the son left the father, he was still looking out for the son's return. The Bible says " But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.

(Luke 15:20 ESV)

Even his offence did not change the father's love for him. This same way, our opening verse tells us that God's love for us never ceases. The same love that saved us while we were sinners is still active in our lives today, tomorrow and forever, an everlasting love.

Our duty is to discover this love and abide in it till the coming of Christ. The only enemy to this love is our senses. If your child's love for you is dwarfed by peer influence, won't you get rid of the peer influence so as to enjoy the childs unconditional love.

The same way we are called to love God beyond our senses, that is despite what our senses dictates to us. The Bible tells us to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 ESV
