HOLY SHEPHERD

He makes me to lie down in green pastures; … Psalms 23:2 NKJV

If our Heavenly Father is the one that makes us lie down in green pastures, who and what can challenge him? If I make myself, It won't last, why? Because we are just ordinary sheep. Wild animals, devourers and other beasts of the field can stop us, but they cannot stop God.

Most wonderful thing is that He has done it already, we are lying down in the green pastures now, though our earthly circumstances might not reflect it. These green pastures could be soul prosperity, prosperity in finances, health, marital, right living etc. This is the will of God for us; "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (III John 1:2)

That is why He is a holy Shepherd, He makes us prosper in all things, and He does this through His Spirit in us. In Ezekiel 36:27, He said "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes" The Hebrew word for "cause" is "Asah" that means "to make, to produce, to build" .

God used the same word "Asah" when He made us " God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;... (Genesis 1:26) So God's holy way of shepherding us is through his Spirit in us.

That means He has made us in Christ, his image and likeness, so in all things, we lie down in green pastures, that is, we prosper in all things. so we live in the green pastures now , as long as we keep abiding in Christ.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ABIDE IN HIM AS THE SHEEP IN HIS FLOCK IN JESUS NAME, AMEN!
