HOLY SHEPHERD IV

He makes me to lie down in green pastures; … Psalms 23:2 NKJV

Verse 3 says "He restores my soul". The Lord said "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)

The soul lost it's glory after the fall in Eden, and needs to be restored. Soul restoration is the prosperity of the soul. This is complete peace, tranquility and wholeness of the soul.

III John 1:2 says " Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

No matter how we prosper in all things, without the peace and tranquility of the soul, it is all in vain.That is why there is so much wickedness, greed, malice and evil of all sorts especially within the rich. The good news is that this wholeness of our souls is accomplished in Jesus.

How? "Asah"(Hebrew word for Make)." He makes me to lie down in green pastures;" Remember Jesus received severe floggings for our sake, why? "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed" ( Isaiah 53:5) So, His floggings brought us peace.

That is why Our soul is not at peace, until it abides in the Lord. Psalm 42:2 says "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?. In Christ, our souls are restored to it's original state, God's own peace and tranquility, in Hebrew "Shalom Shalom". We just have to simply abide.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ABIDE IN HIM AS THE SHEEP IN HIS FLOCK IN JESUS NAME, AMEN!
