HOST THE SPIRIT OF GOD IN YOU AND NOT YOUR FEELINGS

For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”
Romans 8:16 TPT
The Holy Spirit is the One who bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children—not our senses or changing circumstances. Therefore, let us learn to host Him continually in our lives and not our feelings. How do we host Him in our lives?
The Lord said, “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” — John 16:13 NKJV)
Ponder this deeply: “For He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak.” The Holy Spirit speaks only what He hears from the Father. Even when Christ was on earth, He never spoke on His own authority, “..The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”(John 14:10 NKJV)
In the same way, we also ought to speak in agreement with Him, through His words. As the Bible says: “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” (II Corinthians 4:13) We speak in alignment with Him, not in agreement with fear, feelings, or circumstances.
For instance, on the cross, the Bible says that Jesus, fully knowing that all things had been accomplished, did not keep quiet, rather declared, “It is finished.” (John 19:28,30) In the same way, we also ought to boldly declare our victory in every circumstance, because He has spoken. Romans 10:10 NKJV says, “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
That is how we continually host the Holy Spirit in our lives—through an unbroken and sweet fellowship with Him, by His Word. We speak boldly because He has already spoken.
