KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 NIV


The Greek word for " know" in our text is " eido" meaning to know, be aware, to have knowledge of. Why does the Holy Spirit wants us to know that we have eternal life? Because "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10 NIV)



This means that in this wounded world, if sickness, hardships, depression, and troubles of any kind attack us, we should be steadfast for we know we have eternal life, God kind of life. All we need is the knowledge of what we have, and stand strong in it. This Life works for itself. That's Why the Lord said "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.(John 17:3 NIV)



WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE AT ALL TIMES IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
