Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
-John 14:27 NKJV
When Elijah and Elisha came by the River Jordan, the Bible says " Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground." (II Kings 2:8 NKJV)
When He was taken up to heaven, He left the mantle with Elisha, who came by the same River Jordan, "he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over. (II Kings 2:14 NKJV)
When our Lord Jesus and the apostles were confronted by the storm that the boat was already filling, He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm."
(Mark 4:39 NKJV)
He has left us with the same peace by his chastisements: "The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV) His peace is a great asset, weapon in this troubled world. Just as Elisha laid hold on His master's mantle, and divided the river, as His master did, we should lay hold on our Lord’s peace in all storms and still them as our Lord did; "Peace, be still!
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO APPLY THE LORD’S PEACE IN ALL STORMS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
