LET GO OF THE PAST AND ENJOY HIS SALVATION II

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage - Exodus 20:2 NKJV

Many places in the scripture, The Lord addressed himself as "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt," God is faithful to His promises,

Psalms 33:11 NLT says "But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken."

Just as God brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt and out of slavery, and they never suffered slavery from the hands of the Egyptians ever since then, the same way, we, having been delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, can never suffer slavery to sin and distress, for " if the Son sets you free, you are truly free".(John 8:36 NLT)

Why are many not free from slavery to sin and slavery? because we have not let go of the past ? Either we still put new wine into old wineskins or still drink the old wine instead of the new wine, for " no one who drinks the old wine seems to want the new wine. ‘The old is just fine,’ they say.”(See Luke 5:37‭, ‬39 NLT)

That is why we are called to walk in newness of life, that is, instead of thinking sin and death, we think grace, instead of sickness, wretchedness, ashes,weeping and mourning, heavy spirit, disgrace, we think of divine healing,prosperity, beauty, oil of joy, festive praises and honor.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LET GO THE PAST AND REAP THE JOY OF HIS SALVATION IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
