LET US ENDURE

And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

Romans 8:23 ESV

We are the firstfruits of God's new creation, living in his kingdom, yet we still groan with challenges. Why do we still have to go through some challenges, even though we are God's firstfruits ? This is because the full glory of the new creation has not been revealed yet, for the kingdom of God as the Lord explained in parables, grows from little to big.

The Lord explained his kingdom's growth in two parables: "It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.” It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened.” (Luke 13:19‭, ‬21)

That is why we need endurance, as we go through challenges, so we don't lose hope. Remember, God's kingdom is worth waiting for. St. Paul wrote " For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ENDURE IN ALL THINGS AS WE WAIT IN JOYFUL HOPE FOR THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS, IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
