LET US ENDURE II

And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

Romans 8:23 ESV

2 Thessalonians 2:14 says "He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." However, based on our present circumstances, we don't see this full glory yet, why? because the kingdom of God is not yet fully revealed.

That is why our opening verse says "we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. The good news is that we enjoy this glory of the kingdom through Jesus.

The Scripture said this about us ...” In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor…(Hebrews 2:8‭-‬9 NIV)

So, we look unto Jesus, our head, crowned with glory and honor. We look unto him for this glory. What manner of person is Jesus, can we trust him? Do you know that upon how low and sinful we are, yet, Jesus is not ashamed to call us his brothers and sisters? (Heb 2:11) Think calmly what that means! Let us endure
