And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders.

-Luke 15:5 NLT

OUR text is from the parable of the lost sheep. Beloved, let us stop whatever we are doing now and appreciate our heavenly Father for we have a good Shepherd, who is carrying us joyfully on His shoulders until we arrive home. We are not struggling to survive or to arrive home anymore. Psalms 68:19 NIV says, “ Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.”

His shoulders could be likened to Christ, for after our rescue from the kingdom of darkness, God is carrying us in Christ, safe from the fallenness of this fallen world until we arrive home safely. Psalms 40:2 NIV says, “ He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

Just as when God rescued the Israelites, the Bible says He carried them in Eagle's wings throughout their 40 years stay in the desert. He fed them with manna and water from the rock. Giving them fires by night and clouds by day until they arrived in the promised land. In the same way, God sustains us in Christ until we arrive home, on the day of the Lord. Exodus 15:13 NIV says, “In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.”

BLESSED ARE YOU GOD THE FATHER OF OUR BELOVED LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR YOU ARE CARRYING US IN CHRIST TILL THE DAY OF THE LORD! PRAISEWORTHY AND EXALTED IS YOUR NAME FOREVER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
