Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
— Ephesians 6:10 ESV
Beloved, let us not be troubled by our human weaknesses. Rather, let us see them as opportunities to rely more deeply on God and draw strength from Him. The Christian life was never designed to be lived by human ability alone.
2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV) says, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us." We are fragile vessels carrying a glorious treasure. God intentionally chose this arrangement so that His power—not our strength—would receive the glory. We have been redeemed to display His excellence.
1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) declares: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." God's excellencies shine most brightly when our limitations make room for His power. This is why we can rejoice even in our weaknesses and trials.
No wonder James 1:2 (ESV) says, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds." Likewise, our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:3 ESV, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." In other words, joyful and blessed are those who recognize their need for God and depend on Him wholeheartedly. Such dependence is not a weakness; it is the pathway to experiencing His grace.
This is why grace is the foundation of true joy. 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 (ESV) beautifully captures this truth, "But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
When we are weak in ourselves, we become strong in Him.
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE JOYFUL IN OUR WEAKNESSES IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
