THE SPIRIT

And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

I John 5:8 NKJV

Holy Spirit testifies in our spirit in all circumstances of our lives that we are the children of God, and heirs of his power, glory, and kingdom.

In John 17:23, the Lord prayed "I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."

This prayer of Jesus is the joy of our calling. "Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." We received the Spirit of sonship, that is the Spirit of God's only son, testifying the presence of Jesus in every aspect of our lives as well as the Father's love for us.

Jesus said this about the Holy Spirit "He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you."

(John 16:14 NIV) Our life is meant to glorify Jesus. Always remember, it is through us that Jesus is glorified, "so that the Father will be glorified in the Son."

Let us yield to the Spirit of Jesus. He might lead us through unfamiliar paths that seem unpleasant to our senses, because He is using us to do the work the Father planned for us before the world was made. The spirit of man could not do it because of the senses resulting from the fall, but we are recreated in Christ as his masterpiece to do it (Eph 2:10)

Jesus offered himself as a sacrifice to God through the eternal Spirit. Also, we should offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to God through the Holy Spirit all the days of our lives. That means yielding to the Spirit.
