OUR GREAT COMFORTER

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4 NIV

We are blessed to have a God who comforts us this way. He wants us to be full of joy irrespective of our earthly circumstances. In Luke 2:10, "the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." In another place the Lord said "“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”(John 16:33)

He also Said "“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.

(John 17:13) So the Lord wants us joyful and comforted. One might say why wouldn't He remove the troubles.

The thing is that troubles we go through in Christ makes us partners with Him,for we build endurance needed for a personal relationship with God. Besides there is an enormous glory in the sufferings of Christ. We share in it as partners for we are crucified with Christ. Even the angels long to be part of this wonderful relationship we share with God through sufferings in Christ.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAND STRONG IN TROUBLES SO AS TO GROW IN ENDURANCE NEEDED TO BUILD A SOLID RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
