OUR PLACE OF REST

So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.

Psalms 55:6 NKJV


David in our text was trying to find a place of rest from the overwhelming oppression of his enemies. But we have entered His rest, Christ. So, no matter what society throws at us, we are not looking for wings to fly out, instead we say "In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”? (Psalms 11:1 NKJV)



So, we are not looking up to the mountains for rest, our true help and protection is only from the Lord. That is why Psalms 91:1 NLT says "Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty."


WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAND STRONG IN THE LORD AS OUR TRUE HELP AND PROTECTION, OUR PLACE OF REST IN JESUS NAME, AMEN!
