PUT ON YOUR HELMET OF SALVATION

And take the helmet of salvation…- Ephesians 6:17 NKJV

I was watching a movie Godfather 1, he said to someone , "if you come to me in friendship then your enemies will become my enemies, then they will fear you" Ponder this, if your enemies is God's enemies, who can stand you?

The Lord told the Israelites "But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.(Exodus 23:22 NKJV) Death is an enemy of God, so anything in the death realm is our enemy. That is God will be an enemy to sin, untimely death, sickness, wretchedness, mourning, reproach, sadness, marital crisis etc. And all that defiles us.

The helmet God put on us shows that God is the one that saves us, and no other. Imagine being guarded by the best military or security in the world. That the commander of His heavenly armies is our Lord, so we are backed up by heavenly armies. That is why we need to put on our helmet of salvation all the time, so they will fear us, for our enemies are now God's enemies.

How do we wear it? By faith, remember the Israelites could not wear it because of disobedience. We wear it because in Christ, we have become children of obedience by faith.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO WEAR OUR HELMET OF SALVATION AT ALL TIMES TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
