St. Augustine said “ Let us not resist his first coming, so that we may not dread the second”. If we don't understand the first coming, it is difficult to wait in joyful hope for the second coming. For instance, ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says,”whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.



That means we are proclaiming that we are dead now to sin and distress, hence blameless and without a single fault

now until He comes again! This is great! If we proclaim this with our heart everyday, how can we ever live in fear or dread his second coming ?
