Do not have a slave mindset, for we did not receive a spirit of slavery, but rather the Spirit of sonship. The Lord said, “Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.”(John 8:35 NIV) This means that a slave's health and wellbeing, marriages, finances etc, are not guaranteed. Their lives are up and down, a roller coaster kind of life. Whereas a son's life shines brighter and brighter like the morning Sun for it is sure-footed in the house of God. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit so our salvation is not leaky.
