Give us this day our daily bread

Matthew 6:11 NKJV

When we ask for our daily bread we are asking for what belongs to us. We are not like the prodigal son that wants everything at once. We are joint heirs with Christ, so everything belongs to us. Remember what the prodigal son's Father told his older brother, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

(Luke 15:31 NKJV)

Our Heavenly Father gives us enough supply for the day, that is all we need for life and godliness for that day, not weekly, monthly or yearly. Just as we are paid weekly, monthly or yearly, in God's kingdom our benefits are daily. That is why Psalm 96:2 tells us to show His salvation daily.

Besides, we are still babies in His sight, for a thousand years is like a day in His sight, none of us is a thousand years old yet. Do you give your day-old baby keys to your car, house documents and all the details of your savings ? No, instead you want to carry and feed the baby daily.

Beloved, Our heavenly Father carries us in His arms, carries our burdens and loads our benefits daily ( Psalms 68:19) We live in His name, we are arrows in His hands, His battle axe, He displays His virtues and excellences through us, so He gives us enough supply we need daily for His name sake.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ASK DAILY FOR OUR DAILY BREAD TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
