REMAIN IN HIS LOVE

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

John 15:9 NIV

To remain in Jesus' love is to live in the awareness that He loves us. We don't trust our human understanding or circumstances to predict it, we simply believe that He loves us. That is why when the people asked Him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”(John 6:28‭-‬29 NIV)

Believing is work, it requires continually saturating our hearts and minds with the word of God, which is Spirit. The Lord is Spirit, and His love is of the spirit and not of the flesh, so it has to be revealed to us by the Holy Spirit who poured it in our hearts in the first place. No wonder He said "I made known to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them.”

The more we grow in the awareness of His love for us through His words, the more His love radiates through us to others.
