SET YOUR EYES ON THE NEW AND YOU WOULD NOT WALK ON THE OLD

But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luke 9:62 NKJV

A life in Christ is about putting hands to the plow and not looking back. John the Baptist says, “ He must become greater; I must become less.” (John 3:30 NIV) We should be conscious of the transcendent life in Christ and not in our shifting circumstances. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV says, “‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! “

Old things include all we suffer because of sin such as sickness, hardships, depression, addiction etc has gone. Everything is new. That does not mean we do not acknowledge our earthly circumstances. Rather we chose to set our minds on the new, for the old has gone, we do not struggle with them. The new is here!

Galatians 5:16 NIV says, “ So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” That means we should set our eyes on the new life of Christ in us, seek new things and the old life and it's distress will disappear.

James 4:7 NIV echoed it with bold assurance, “ Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Beloved, keep your hand on the plow. Don't look back. Your life is now hidden with Christ, and your victory is found in Him.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO SET OUR EYES ON THE NEW AND NOT ON THE OLD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
