SHAKE IT OFF WITH GRACE II

When Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and put them on the fire, a viper driven out by the heat fastened on his hand. But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.- Acts 28:3‭, ‬5 MEV

In the wilderness, the same bites of the saraph serpents that the Israelites were dying from, were rendered ineffective when Moses lifted up the molded snake. (Numbers 21:6) the ninth verse says " And all of those who looked at the bronze snake lived, even though they had been bitten by the poisonous snakes."

This same way our Lord Jesus by His death, rendered the bites of sin ineffective. This is why we should take the Holy Communion seriously, it is a testimony of Christ's death. "For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.(1 Corinthians 11:26 NIV)

The enemy hates when we proclaim this, because the Lord's death is the victory that paralyzed, shamed him. The Bible says "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.(II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV)

Sin gave satan authority over us, but sin is exchanged on the cross with God's righteousness, he has no more control over us. Our duty is to be in agreement with this and walk in righteousness. That means live rightly, live a victorious and glorified life, with the conscious mindset that we are no longer under the law of sin and death but under the law of Spirit of life. Glory!
