SHINE AS LIGHTS

…Try to shine as lights among the people of this world, as you hold firmly to the message that gives life…

Philippians 2:15‭-‬16 CEV

Psalms 119:98 NIV says "Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies." Beloved, we live among wolves, the world we live in is crooked and perverse, we don't copy their customs, rather we shine as lights to them.

We cannot shine as light by ourselves, rather by holding tightly to the word of grace, for it has the power to make us shine as lights. St Paul says “Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up..(Acts 20:32 NIV)

The word of God is the builder, it is alive and active, they are spirit and life. Hebrews 11:3 says "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." So the word of God is invisible things.

We hold tightly to the word of God, the invisible things, through word meditations. The Bible says "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. (I Timothy 4:15 NKJV) No wonder the Psalmist said "My eyes are awake through the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word. (Psalms 119:148 NKJV)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO HOLD TIGHTLY TO THE WORD OF GOD SO AS TO SHINE AS LIGHTS IN THIS DARK WORLD TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
